Capacitor banks with high fast reaction time by thyristor bridge.

Comar Benelux has developped this application for each type of capacitor bank (B35 - B50 - AAR/5) to compensate in situations with fast changing users/charges.

The reaction time can be adjusted between 0,5 and 2 sec for the total power of the capacitor bank.

The switching of the steps is realised at the "zero crossing" moment to avoid current peaks. 

 The cabinet is constructed in a well ventilated robust sheet steel well ventilated IP40. Standard color is RAL 7035.

Built up modular and extensible.

Each step has the following characteristics :

• Each bank is controlled by its own three-pole static contactor (specific scale for capacitors).
• Every bank is protected by a set of three HRC fuses.
• The isolation voltage is very high.
• Set of bars with a large short-circuit power.
• The regulator is a microprocessor with a digital display.
